Where it all began…
I’ve always been creative — from building cardboard inventions as a child (including a surprisingly functional pinball machine) to making my own wedding tiara when I couldn’t find anything that felt right. That curiosity, and the satisfaction of creating something beautiful, led me to set up my own jewellery practice, study through evening classes, and complete a BSc (Hons) in Design and Innovation.
Alongside my own work, I have spent several years mentoring jewellery students through the Jewellers Academy, supporting emerging designers as they developed their skills, confidence, and creative direction. Years of working closely with valued clients (thank you!) have also shaped my approach, reinforcing one consistent belief: jewellery should be viewed as considered, wearable design rather than decoration alone.
Amici approaches jewellery as design, not as a statement piece defined by gender. Viewing form, material, and wearability as universal, the brand challenges the traditional division of jewellery into “men’s” and “women’s” categories. Identity and personal style are fluid, and good design should be too. By borrowing from menswear and womenswear alike, Amici creates jewellery that feels intuitive rather than prescriptive. Named after the Italian word for “friends”, the brand is intentionally gender-inclusive and designed for people rather than categories.
Each piece is made to be shared, borrowed, layered, and worn however feels right — without judgement and without labels. All jewellery is designed and made in the UK using responsibly sourced materials, keeping production close to home and reducing unnecessary environmental impact.
Discover jewellery that goes beyond gender, reflecting the spirit of unity and personal style, only at Amici.
